What We’re Eating…
Monday– we had pancakes at Cracker Barrel!
Tuesday– grilled Italian herb chicken, roasted potatoes and brussels sprouts, crescent rolls
Wednesday- beef and broccoli with fried rice
Thursday- hot dogs and chips on the way to soccer!
Friday-Sunday– We’re thinking about taking Livy to see her first movie at the movies this weekend, so we’ll probably eat there, and then the rest of the weekend will be game time decisions.
What I’m Reminiscing About…
Honestly, we are so focused with everything going on the in present and prepping for the immediate future that I really haven’t taken that much time to reminisce lately. But check back next month for what will surely be quite the reminiscing sob session as we move!
What I’m Loving…
- Cloth Collapsible Totes- as we’ve started packing up our house to show and sell, I bought these cloth zipper totes to put blankets, clothes, and other non-breakable items in. I previously had all my winter sweaters and sweatshirts in two large plastic totes in my closet but moved them to these so I could use the plastic totes elsewhere and I think I may leave them in these even after we move because they will easily fit under our bed or somewhere else and take up less room. Highly recommend! I got two slightly different sizes at two slightly different price points, but like both! Option 1 | Option 2
- Munchkin Splash Toddler Cups– in a fit of over cluttered rage, I recently threw out every single sippy cup we had and bought this four pack of cups in an attempt to have less so we have to keep up with less. I thought one cup for water, one cup for milk/ juice for each kid. These are almost like little baby Yeti cups- they have the clear lid with an opening and just a simple smaller cup so not a ton of pieces to clean, no little nooks or crannies where milk/ juice will mold, etc. So, in execution, these are perfect for Livy (4 years old), but Henry (2 years old) is struggling with them a little. He just doesn’t understand that the liquid comes out of one place that he needs to pay attention to, and has almost always dumped it on himself trying to drink from them. We’re working on it, but I did have to dial back and get him a sippy cup or two in the mean time.
What I’ve Been Up To…
At the beginning of April, Henry Wyman turned 2!

This tiny old man is the goofiest, sweetest, funniest little munchkin and we are so blessed to have him!
We’ve also been playing soccer every Saturday! We started off a little rough but we’re several weeks in with no tears from the team now, and are starting to have fun and get the hang of it!

We had a fun Easter weekend with a birthday fiesta for Henry and our niece, and then Easter Sunday trying out our new church for when we move. We loved it and can’t wait to go there full time coming up!

And we also added to our family… Meet Concho the Border Collie! He is the new official ranch herding dog, and we can’t wait to train him to work cows. He is super smart, and fits in really well already! (Also, we had a Border Collie when I was about Livy’s age, and I couldn’t resist a little side by side of the two of us with our collies!)

What I’ve Been Working On…
Packing and decluttering to get ready to move!
What I’m Excited About…
We are getting new furniture for the living room and kids’ rooms in the new house and it has been kinda fun to look and pick everything out! I’m super excited to have everything match and look put together after 6 years of piecing together hand me downs and small med school/ residency budget finds.
What I’m Watching/ Reading…
The newest and last season of Better Call Saul started last week, and we’ve watched the first two episodes (and then went back to start the season before over because it’s been literally two years and I couldn’t remember anything about what was going on 🤦♀️).
Here is the full review of the six books I read in March! We’ve had a very busy last few weeks with house selling stuff, so I haven’t read as much, but I should finish out the month with 4. Check back on May 11 for my review of these 4 linked with Show Us Your Books!

What I’m Listening To…
Our kids love to listen to “stories” while we’re driving instead of music, and I’ve found on Amazon Music that you can search for “Song and Story Disney” or “Disney Storyette” and there are recordings of all the popular Disney movies told in story format. Song and Story also features a few songs from each movie, and then a 10-20 minute retelling of the movie. Our commute to our nanny’s house is about 25 minutes so these are perfect to get us to and from Betty’s house, or even as we just run errands. Click HERE for a “Disney Story Time” playlist that features a lot of the story recordings!
What I’m Wearing…
I have been wearing all the dresses! I wore this chambray dress for Easter, and also have it in a floral. I love these ruffled maxi dresses with a denim jacket or cardigan for work or church (or really just hanging out because they are so dang comfy!)- I have the chambray stripe and blue gingham. I also grabbed these shorter sleeveless t-shirt dresses with pockets for a casual summer option that can be dressed up or down- I got the blue/ white stripe, the “mollusk”, and the “seaborne”. I think all these are true to size- I ordered XS in everything and they all fit as I wanted. The chambray and floral ruffle are a little tight in the chest, so it might be worth sizing up if you are larger chested. All the ruffled longer dresses are considered “midi” dresses on the website, but I would call them maxi dresses because they hit right at my ankle (I’m 5′ 4″ for reference), but would potentially be shorter if you are taller.
With all of my light spring/ summer dresses, I’ve been wearing these espadrille sandals with an ankle strap and I can’t rave about these enough! They are super comfy, go with everything, and are just super cute! I think they run true to size- I got my usual 6.5 in the “micro suede cognac” and they are just right!
What I’m Doing This Weekend…
We have soccer and a quick day trip with GrandBetty and Pa Wayne on Saturday, and then a day trip to the ranch on Sunday to go to church at what will be our new church when we move, and to pick up Henry from Gran and Bud’s!
What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month…
Oh, May is going to be ALL the things. Closing on our house sale, end of school program, Side by Side Senior Farewell, end of the year dance recital, the end of soccer, and packing up and moving to the new house June 1! I’m exhausted but so excited just thinking of it all!
What Else is New…

That’s about it! Happy end of April, y’all!
