Fall Favorites– Fall Decor

Friends! It’s almost the first day of fall!! Friday is officially the first day of fall, and even though absolutely nothing will change temperature wise, I’ll still feel better knowing it should feel like fall even though it doesn’t. Here’s hoping for a cold front soon 😉

Today, I’m linking up with Sarah to talk about my favorite fall decor!

All my fall/ Halloween decor went up on Labor Day because that was when I had time to do it. And because I’m desperate for fall!

The herringbone and plaid wrapped pumpkins are from Target. I can’t find them to link, but check your local Target. I have two tall/ skinny and one round/short and a package of six mini herringbone, and then I bought a box of assorted plaid mini pumpkins to mix and match. I love these because the prints match to the decor we already have in our home, but adds a little fall touch without being obnoxious. The tapestry hanging was handmade for us by Steven’s aunt. She is kind enough to make those for us for the fall/ winter holidays and I love them! I found flat, generic fireplace hangers last year at Target around Christmas and they are perfect for hanging these without drawing extra attention and without damaging our mantel.  I’ll take the tapestry down after Halloween and add in the ceramic pilgrims and turkey from Steven’s granny to make it Thanksgiving ready. And I’m considered making a little burlap bunting Thanksgiving sign as well, but we’ll see!

My dining room table is usually where I keep my main holiday displays (other than the fireplace). I’m still looking for a fall tablecloth/ table runner I like, but for the centerpiece, I traded out the typical lemons I keep in the Pioneer Woman bowl for more of the plaid and herringbone pumpkins, plus a box of the cutest tiny wool pumpkins in assorted colors (also from Target). There is also one of the larger herringbone pumpkins with more smaller pumpkins and a Bath and Body Works candle.

On our main kitchen counter, I have some decorative ceramic pumpkins my mother-in-law gave me from Kirkland’s, along with my pumpkin picture frame, and another set of pumpkins. I’m excited to have a sweet baby picture in that frame next year! (or maybe I’ll buy another frame because my little puppy munchkins are pretty cute, too!).

And lastly, out front, I took down our peony/ spring/ summer wreath and put up our cotton wreath! I made this a few weeks ago with a grapevine wreath, four decorative cotton branches and a burlap bow from Hobby Lobby. The burlap pumpkins on grapevine are a garland from Hobby Lobby, and I just have that hanging on a command hook above the wreath. Our “Hey, Y’all” welcome mat is from Kirkland’s and stays out year round (except when I put out my Christmas mat!).

And that’s how we decorate for fall! Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Fall, y’all! 🙂
